01:14:43 <tomman> https://www.digicert.com/blog/tls-certificate-lifetimes-will-officially-reduce-to-47-days
01:14:45 <tomman> > The new ballot targets certificate validity of 47 days, making automation essential. Prior to this proposal by Apple, Google promoted a 90-day maximum lifetime, but they voted in favor of Apple’s proposal almost immediately after the voting period began.
01:14:50 <tomman> Goo--- Apple, of course.
01:15:10 <tomman> why 47 days? Why not 23 minutes? Or 12.976 seconds? After all, it isn't like this is going to make websites more secure
03:42:01 <ethansligar9> Hello!
03:47:46 <franstam> no fing idea
11:25:23 <nsITobin> i was screwing around with fedora 42.. specifically the kde spin .. and wow.. kde 6 is something else.. i mean KDE5 would present a nice game THEN piss me off as i tried to use it more than basic windows.. KDE 6 from the first couple clicks pissed me off .. it was also funny .. Per normal they moved shit around again.. Then I tried the Fedora 42 Cinnamon spin which was .. still x11 and fine actually though the bloat is increasing both for cinnamon's
11:25:23 <nsITobin> spin and fedora package deps in general.. THEN i adapted my chroot install for 42 and did it from a liveusb with my kernel and minimal-ish package selection and it was.. -ok, i guess-
