youtube is breaking its self
-
nsITobin
so i been hit with some a/b testing that basically makes it so using my channel i can't watch any video that i don't navigate from the front page like an app first direct links and open in new tab just show the header with nothing.. sign out switch account switch channel it works
-
nsITobin
doesn't matter the browser
-
nsITobin
so basically youtube is a/b testing FULL appification ditching the pretense of being a website still as near as I can suspect.. others have been seeing it but its a small minority per normal and google is silent about it.. so yeah
-
tomman
in other news, Giggityhub and Giggitylab keep breaking themselves harder and harder as they just can't stop Pushing! Things! Forward! and deploying more stroke-inducing artery-clogging Chromeisms every month
-
tomman
if I worked there, I would have already quit
-
tomman
also: the trick to pass Clownflare Turnstile craptchas remains the same: get blank captcha, fire up devtools, threaten that empty box with the inspector, "oh, here is the checkbox lol"
-
nsITobin

they were like Lunatic Mode
-
tomman
(had a classmate that loved them, he was our resident math nerd and the one dude that would willingly checkout those books at the library - the checkout cards only had his signature. The guy was... a bit insane, yes)

Sompi: I'm... not impressed with what you say about the new finlex, but let me see...
-
njsg
"in printed PDF formats"...
-
njsg
Sompi: hmm, quick browsing works for me, maybe search won't. it's also possible it degrades well if javascript is diabled
-
njsg
s@ di@&s@
-
njsg
I can't make search show results
-
njsg
Sompi: if it's not apparent, I'm reading the backlog and have now reached the part where you say the VRK has a list of browsers...
-
njsg
Sompi: so wait, the person who told you this works in the field but is *not* part of the public sector? I'm wondering, is this explicitly a list in the public sector, or something some companies use when doing work for the state?
-
Sompi
njsg: Almost nothing works. For example, try changing the language - nothing happens. Also try clicking the huge banner on top of the page, nothing happens
-
Sompi
Only JavaScript errors show up in the console

therube

therube Apple s*cks these days. Third time in a row that they broke SeaMonkey with major releases. This one is probably due to missing signing information but its an apple problem. I don't have time to set upo a notarization process with these a-holes. More security is good but not this way.
-
therube
PM likewise affected
-
frg_Away
tons of other programs too
-
njsg
I'm surprised I didn't see jwz commenting about that yet
-
njsg
he usually also complains about these issues on his blog and so on
-
njsg
... ah, another OOM. Doesn't help that I was using firefox for PDF reading...
-
njsg
... oh wait
-
njsg
the problem might be I thought I had opened Firefox but I opened Chrome.
-
frg_Away
therube Well then maybe Brian will figure it out. Was about to contact him but now that pm has the same problem he will know :)

xdg is stupid as hell.. its broken mime execution, defaulting to the default web browser, it is annoying to configure and desktop files and menu files are dumb as hell..
